Over the two decades that I have been a Researcher by trade, my main focus has been working with teachers and students by way of helping the teachers gather concise and easy to teach information on historical topics, and working with students from grade school through to graduate school on the research process. I spend much of my time when I am not researching, teaching research and how to present that research to my collection of university students.
Our hope with Researcher’s Gateway is to hone this experience into something useful for the masses. While we love research because of the doors of information it opens, we understand that for many people, researching can be a daunting process–especially if you don’t know exactly where to start or how to choose the most useful sources from a list of dozens.
We can’t succeed in this, however, if we don’t hear from you, so we’re always open to suggestions and questions. If you have an idea of what would be most beneficial, what sort of tool you need as a teacher in order to be able to fulfill your personal requirements, let us know. If you are a student, and there’s something you aren’t understanding, or need more assistance with in the process of researching, tell us about it. We can’t expand our resources, if we don’t know what you need.
Our goal is to make researching easier, make the tools more readily available and found in a single location, and to facilitate in the process however we can.
Help us, help you!
