We founded the Researcher’s Gateway because we knew we had a lot to offer other people with varying research needs. Research can be a daunting task, and we wanted to make it more accessible to those people out there who are less familiar with research, or who just don’t have the time to devote to the research needed to enhance their own project. We bring a deep seated passion for research in general and historical research in particular. We want to share that love with you
We both have had years of training and experience in research. Dr. RoseAnna Downing-Vicklund has a Ph.D. from Michigan State University; in addition to her speciality of medical anthropology, she has researched both history and archaeology. Galen Scott has a B.A. in Research Studies, Masters level studies in Folklore, Cultural Anthropology and Forensics, and has considerable experience as a professional researcher and academic editor, including working as Dr. Downing-Vicklund’s research assistant. Because our educational backgrounds differ, we complement each other and have worked as a team for over a decade. Our backgrounds give us an unusual flexibility in the research that we do, giving us a knowledge base that is simultaneously diverse and thorough. Working together for so long, has made us a well-oiled machine, enabling us to match our strengths together to better serve you.
The skill and experience we have combined with our passion andour incredible love for history and historical research, give us the solid foundation with which we can build research for you, and share in your own passion for what you want to do, and help you customize it to suit your needs.
